Mrs. Holthaus received her Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education (with an endorsement in Science) from the University of Illinois in Springfield. She started teaching at SHS in 1999 and has had over 20 years of First Graders!

 

She has 5 children, 3 step children and 13 grandchildren (which includes several “bonus” grandchildren). Her children attended SHS and now several grandchildren do. Mrs. Holthaus loves teaching because every day she can make a difference in a child’s life and inspire them to strive to do their best.

 

It is amazing to see what former students of hers have accomplished over the years. Out of school Mrs. Holthaus enjoys gardening, taking care of her grandchildren, and her special needs daughter. She believes SHS is wonderful place to learn and grow in academics and faith!
